Square Enix is getting ready to deploy its next big release, in the form of Final Fantasy XIII-2, the sequel to the lackluster XIII, with which it hopes to delight fans of the long running Japanese Role Playing Game series and once again prove that it’s a worthy contender for Western franchises like The Elder Scrolls.
Now, in order to properly show off the improvements made over its predecessor, the company has presented a special guided video tour of the upcoming RPG.
In the footage above you’ll be able to learn about the story, which takes place three years after XIII, as well as see lots of gameplay, with
combat, as well as
exploration and plenty of other sequences that should get your heart pumping if you at least liked the previous game.
Look forward to Final Fantasy XIII-2’s release on January 31, in North America, and February 2, in Europe, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
