Square Enix, brings UK's Final Fantasy fans the opportunity to be part of the launch event planned for the eagerly awaited Final Fantasy XII, the next title in the award-winning franchise that has sold more than 70 million units worldwide. What? You didn't know that? It's all going down on February 23rd.

Fans attending the UK launch event will receive the very rare opportunity to meet the actual makers of the series, the executive producer and director of the game. Both Akitoshi Kawazu and Hiroshi Minagawa will be there to sign games and goodies, and answer questions for Final Fantasy hungry fans.

The first 100 people to buy the game during the launch event will receive an exclusive Moogle soft toy and a CD soundtrack (who even cares about the soundtrack CD?), featuring five songs from Final Fantasy XII, selected by the legendary composer Hitoshi Sakimoto. The following 200 people to buy the game will also receive the soundtrack CD. "Enough with the CD!!!" OK.

These highly collectable Moogles are not available to buy in the UK at present and the CD soundtracks have been produced specifically for the launch event. That's all with the soundrack CD, cross my heart. The gifts will be available to people who buy the game between 12-2pm, but you can plan ahead and reserve your gift by arriving early and picking up a wristband, available in store from 9am, 23rd February.

Finally, Square Enix and HMV will invite fans to join in the celebrations wearing their very own Final Fantasy costumes but apparently they don't realize that Final Fantasy fans range from age 7 to age 40 and I don't think we'll be seeing a 40-year old there wearing Vaan's outfit. But those fans sporting some of the best costumes will be rewarded with freebies; well... that changes the story.

So just turn up on the day in your Final Fantasy costume for a chance to win a trip to Japan.
