14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Square Enix is ready to launch a major crossover that involves its biggest MMOs, Final Fantasy XI, Dragon Quest X and Final Fantasy XIV on December 11 and will continue into 2014.
A sage from Dragon Quest X will appear in FF XI looking for a lost slime and gamers will be able to play as the monsters and get specific gear linked to their abilities.
A Spriggan from the world of FF XIV will also appear in Vana’diel and because the Moogles can talk to the creature, players will be able to control it and get special equipment from specific quests, according to Siliconera.
Shantotto, a powerful Tarutaru black mage from Final Fantasy XI, will appear in the newer A Realm Reborn and gamers can fight her and gain her as a companion.
Golems will also show up in FF XIV and there are more quests that feature crossover characters.
