The Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster has launched today in Japan, with European and North American gamers still having to wait until March in order to get their hands on the rehauled version of the game.

The game came out along with its Ultimania book, inside which an interview with Final Fantasy scenario writer Kazushige Nojima can be found. A rather interesting tidbit of information lies hidden within the interview.

“If there’s enough demand, then we may possibly see new developments. I would personally like to see a sequel like X-3,” the writer expressed his views on a possible third installment in the Final Fantasy X series, as quoted by Siliconera.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster will hit North America and Europe in March, 2014, on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems, and will feature cross-play compatibility.
