Square-Enix managed to make a sequel to one of those great Final Fantasy games and it's no wonder that it chose Final Fantasy X, since it's one of the best games in the series. For me, the die-hard fans of the tenth installment in the FF saga, this game is a true disappointment. It turns the whole action of the original game into a Power Puff-like quest that features merry girls. Not being misogynist or anything, but the gameplay is the same and you'll control many female characters, Yuna being the leading character. You can still play Blitzball and you'll have to go sphere-hunting throughout the game, while Yuna searches for her lost love, Tidus. Let us give you a hand with those spheres:
Final Fantasy X-2 Crimson Sphere Locations
Crimson Sphere 1 Chapter 3, Bevelle. Events in Kilika open up events in Djose and Bevelle (even though Djose is a hot spot and Bevelle is not). Go to Bevelle first. Go back down to where Vegnagun was housed in the Bevelle underground, past the place where you fought Baralai in Chapter 2. This should trigger a scene and a Malboro will attack. Afterwards, the sphere is left lying on the ground. To watch it, board the Celsius and talk to Shinra.
Crimson Spheres 2 and 3 Received at the end of Chapter 3 during the scenes in the Farplane Glen.
Crimson Sphere 4 Chapter 3, Guadosalam. Go to the room with the round door. Climb up to the top ledge of the room. There is a crate that Yuna can climb to reach the ledge. Follow the path all the way to the treasure chest at the end. Open it to receive the sphere.
Crimson Sphere 5 End of Chapter 4, Celsius. After the concert in the Thunder Plains, everyone goes back to the Celsius. Some uninvited
guests are waiting. Buddy informs Yuna that LeBlanc and her boys are waiting in the engine room. See her immediately after he tells you this; do not speak to Shinra yet. LeBlanc is impatient and does not like to wait. She will come to see you if you wait too long and you will not get the sphere. Once she hands it over, talk to Shinra.
Crimson Sphere 6 Chapter 5, Bevelle's Via Infinito, Cloister 0. Go inside the Temple at Bevelle and go to the east side chamber. Pacce and his friends have found a teleport to the Via Infinito. At Cloister 0, after speaking to the mysterious person, pick up the sphere that he dropped.
Crimson Sphere 7 Chapter 2, at Mushroom Rock Road. It does not matter who you gave the "Stolen Sphere” to; you will still get this Crimson Sphere. Find Nooj hanging around the door to the Den of Woe. Speak to him. Depending on who you gave the sphere to, he may be polite or rude. Afterwards, he will give you the sphere.
Crimson Sphere 8 Chapter 5, Bevelle's Via Infinito. At Cloister 20, you will fight an Aranea. After the battle, the Aranea drops the sphere. Make sure to it up.
Crimson Sphere 9 Chapter 1, in front of the Den of Woe. Logos and Ormi are trying to find spheres to open the door. In their quick retreat, they drop this one behind.
Crimson Sphere 10 Chapter 2, Guadosalam. After sneaking into LeBlanc's Chateau and finding the secret hallway, go to Logo's bedroom. It is sitting on his bookshelf beside his bed.
Final Fantasy X-2 Dress Spheres Dress sphere are like replacement of jobs in other Final Fantasy Series. During game play, there is an option for you to "Dress Up" (or job change) your characters which would require the availability of different dress spheres to allow your characters to dress up to the dress of your choice.
Different dresses have their advantages and disadvantages. You are supposed to understand how each character's dress works during battle to help you effectively during game play.
Using Special Dress Spheres To use each character's special Dress Spheres, you must activate all the Dress Spheres on your Result Plate (all lines in the plate should be glowing in blue). If activated, the "R1 Special Dress Change" message will flash. To change, press R1 and Action. The only difference is that the Special Dress Sphere will control the other character, and the character using the special Dress Sphere will be the only one who will receive the experience.
The list below shows the total number of dress spheres available in Final Fantasy X-2. Click to have an idea on how they look on certain character and what their abilities are.
Passwords
Djose Temple Password In CH5 when you got to Djose Temple, go talk to a man who asks you for a password, and say MARNELA. Then, he will give you an extra repair manual to fight the experiment again.
Extra Ending First you'll have to meet with Maechen at Guadosalam in Chapter 3. You'll find him when you meet up with Logos and Ormi in the same area. Next you have to get the ''whistling'' scene with Yuna at the end of Chapter 3. When you're alone in the Farplane, move Yuna around and continually press the X button. You'll hear whistling. That means you have activated the event. Next thing you have to do is get an Episode Complete in Luca during Chapter 5. All you have to do there is visit the location where Tidus taught Yuna how to whistle. Next, get an Episode Complete in Besaid. Finally, once you have beaten the game, keep tapping the X button to get the ending.
Here's the secret ending video:
Get Baralai's Sphere Baralai's Sphere can be found in Guadosalam beyond the locked door that everyone talks about. How do you do it? Examine the door in every Chapter. During Chapter 5, Tromell Guado will let you inside, if you were able to finish the mission on Mount Gagazet during Chapter 3.
New game+ After beating the game for the first time, on the title screen there will be new game+. This is a new game except your characters start with the items when you ended the game for the first time.
Secrets
Easy Money After giving O'aka 100,000 Gil to pay off his debt, he will sell you items for extremely cheap prices later. He sells Hi-Potions for 50 Gil, but you can still sell them for normal price.
If you buy 99 Hi-Potions at the 50 Gil price, and then sell them all, you can make over 3 times the money back. You can do this process over and over until you have the desired amount needed.
Easy Points As long as the Gunner Gaunlet's Minigame is available, you can do this trick anytime. For an easy point in this minigame, go below the last waterfall to avoid conflict with the approaching enemies. Kill them and score points as you desire.
Inflicting massive damage (US/UK Version only) When you’re in the Via Infinito, keep going through it until you fight the Black Elemental. When defeated, you will get an accessory called Cat Nip, which has the Auto-Ability SOS-????. Here’s the good part, if a character with this equipped is reduced to a critical state, then all of her attacks will inflict 9999 damages, combine this with Trigger Happy and you can deal MASSIVE damage to the enemies. This works really well on several bosses.
Longer trigger happy Have someone use haste on the person with the gunner dress sphere. Then trigger happy will last longer.
