Tetsuya Nomura, who is one of the main developers working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, has announced that the development team plans to make a demonstration of the game running live on consumer hardware soon.

Speaking to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu the producer did not stated an exact date for the live demo and he confirmed that publisher Square Enix does not have plans to have an event showcasing its upcoming launches, as it did during 2010.

Versus XIII is part of the wider Fabula Nova Chrystalis universe, which so far also contains the original release of Final Fantasy XIII and the XIII-2 sequel, and was supposed to arrive a couple of years ago.

At the moment the game does not have an official launch window and the developers are saying that it will only be delivered on the PlayStation 3 home console from Sony.

Nomura has also confirmed that Final Fantasy X is being remade in High Definition.
