Drink up fanboys

Final Fantasy VII is now a ten-year old title and the folks in Japan are still celebrating Square-Enix's most acclaimed title. There's even an anniversary potion now available for the title's fanboys in cool cans featuring FFVII's main characters. The potion is a sweet carbonated and caffeinated drink, made available by Suntory, the creator of the 2006 FF XII drink.

I'm sure that the game's fans will probably enjoy the decorated aluminum cans more than the beverage inside, mostly because they won't be able to break them as easily as they did with the bottles of the FF XII potion. 16 types of cans are available, each featuring one of the game's characters and weighing 350ml. Of course, a collection is the first thing on my mind, but I fear that the other fans might have also thought about that. However, fanboys shouldn't fret, as there are 5 million cans of this anniversary potion available.

You'll just have to preorder yours and you'll get it in early November, for $7.50 per can. The problem is that the potions are delivered randomly, since the producers supposed that too many people will start ordering cans featuring the pics of Cloud or Aerith. I'll be sure to get myself a Final Fantasy "sixpack" of characters and fill my belly with "materia" bubbles, till Crisis Core comes out. Too bad that I'll get the drinks in November. By the way, won't all the bubbles go away in such a long period of time?

Square-Enix have certainly drawn everything from the superb media product called Final Fantasy VII and they should as millions of gamers still admit that it was the best game they've ever played. I just hope that the latest installments in the series can live up to the hype and the "heavier" hit titles everyone loves.
