Apparently, a playable demo that will enable gamers to explore the first stages of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles sometime in early 2015, as disclosed by an online report.

The report was initially posted by Game Informer (immortalized by NeoGAF), and then removed, stating that gamers who would pick up a copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD would be able to also get their hands on the Final Fantasy XV demo, although it's not yet clear whether the demo will be available at the time of Type-0 HD's launch.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is yet another of Square Enix's HD remasters, this time around the effects being a bit more visible, since the original game was running on the PSP handheld gaming device from Sony.

The game is reportedly coming out around March 17 in North America, although the developer and publisher has yet to confirm the date, aside from a more vague "within a year" window offered at PAX Prime.

The role-playing game is set to launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, and will include updated visuals and four different difficulty modes, but pretty much everything else will be left unchanged.

For the time being, there is no information regarding the upcoming installment in the long-running Final Fantasy series of Japanese role-playing games, such as a prospective release date.
