Final Fantasy Type-0 has again been delayed and will now be launched on the Japanese market at some point during the fall, allowing players to explore a new game world which will take up more than 100 hours of their gaming time.
The game director Hajime Tabata has told Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that the new delay is linked to the problems that have affected the PlayStation Network from late April to early June, which have meant that the multiplayer side of the game could not be tested.
The development team at publisher Square Enix is still working on multiplayer and will test it in the coming months.
The developers have also said that
Final Fantasy Type-0 will offer 100 hours of game time for those who are interested in finding all the secrets the game has to offer with the play time cut in half for those players who are just interested in getting through the three-dimensional combat stages that it offers.
At the moment, the development process is said to be 80 percent completed, but the same figure was also cited in the spring of this year, when the game was set to arrive during the summer.
Final Fantasy Type-0 will have 14 main characters, which will be quite a disappointment for those fans who once heard that the team was preparing to create a cast of 40.
Final Fantasy Type-0 is another game in the Fabula Nova Crystallis universe that Square Enix has created.
It was initially known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII, but the publisher changed the name to better differentiate it from the main FF XIII release.
That game was rather disappointing in terms of sales and at the moment Square Enix is
preparing a sequel which will use a number of the same characters and the same game world.
