Square Enix has decided to let everybody know that its highly anticipated Nintendo DS exclusive, Final Fantasy IV, will be released across PAL territories on the 5th of September. Finally, the news every fan was waiting for! Final Fantasy IV makes its return to the DS with improved graphics, voiced cut-scenes and many other improvements and enhancements.

The game that broke the RPG clichs with an innovative Active Time Battle system has been revamped, as I said, but the developers still kept all the charm of the original release. The game benefits from all the Nintendo DS capabilities and allows for a deeper and richer experience of a tale of exceptional heroes in a pure Final Fantasy way.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. said that "Final Fantasy IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the Final Fantasy franchise. It has been remarkably enhanced for the Nintendo DS, making it a great opportunity for our fans to experience its deep story and ground-breaking battle system in an exciting and innovative new way."

This brand new Nintendo DS version of the game will feature beautiful 3D graphics, hand-painted backgrounds and style, as well as impressive audio. Touch Screen control is of course enabled in-game, as well as Dual Screen usage, for you to enjoy the most out of the boss battles, the dungeon mapping system or learning sessions with your friends.

Square Enix wanted to bring us even more with Final Fantasy IV, so we'll get brand new, never seen before episodes, which will allow us to explore the unseen lives of our characters. Also, a new mini-game has been introduced, allowing players to nurture their own summon monster and battle friends via Wireless. And all these great things will be available soon - on the 5th of September.
