Hello
Final Fantasy fans and
RPG fanatics, here's some great news for you. Square Enix has just made it official that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates is set for release across PAL territories in Spring 2008, exclusively for
Nintendo's handheld, the DS. The game is said to boast some
action-based gameplay with 3D levels.
Aside from the action elements blend and 3D levels, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates delivers exploration and puzzle solving, using a control scheme that allows gamers to engage enemies on "their terms and without any random encounters," as the official report confirms. More than that, up to four players can team-up for co-op action using the Wi-Fi function and since you can't all look the same, Square Enix is throwing in hundreds of items and costume combinations for everyone to leave their mark in the game the way they want it.
"With a strong focus on action and exploration Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates offers an exciting, fast-paced adventure," said John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. "If you've never played a FINAL FANTASY game before, Ring of Fates is the perfect introduction and offers even more fun when played with friends."
Square Enix has given scarce details about the game's storyline. According to the press release, the Great Crystal protects the land from the malefic glow of the blood red moon. In this land, twins are born, endowed with a shared, mystical power, but their peaceful life is suddenly changed with the rise of the blood red moon. All fates are etched into the crystal. Aaand that's a wrap!
