The development team at Square Enix reveals that the housing that will be introduced in the coming 2.1 patch for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will not be offered to individual players but to the various free companies that have formed in the world of the MMO.

The team explains that gamers will have to obtain a Land Acquisition entitlement and reach a certain level in order to create housing.

The process also involves a house permit, four mandatory sections, four optional ones and plenty of customization possibilities.

Square Enix explains that, “free companies will finally have a base of operations to call home. We hope you will enjoy this new addition to the world of Eorzea and look forward to the many related features that will follow.”

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is at the moment playable on the PlayStation 3 and the PC and will soon also be offered on the PS4.
