The GNOME developers behind the Nautilus project (now known as Files) have announced that version 3.13.2 is now available for download and testing.

Even if the majority of the Linux users still refer to this package as Nautilus, its name has been in fact Files for quite some time. The community is not ready to adopt the new name, just like they haven't replaced Totem with Videos.

Nautilus is one of the most visible parts of the GNOME project and one of the first things a user sees when (s)he opens a distribution based on GNOME.

According to the changelog, a missing unref has been fixed, a crash in selection handling has been corrected, the header bar is now used for the properties dialog, the new gear menu icon has been implemented, application-specific theming for Adwaita has been implemented, the pathbar styling is now shared with GTK+, and a crash that occurred when enumerating windows has been fixed.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official changelog. You can download Files 3.13.2 (formerly known as Nautilus) sources right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
