The FileWave Company was founded in 1999 and its purpose is to develop, sell and integrate, as well as to support the
FileWave and Asset Trustee software management tools all over the world from its locations in Europe and USA. FileWave International Holding AG is based in Wil, Switzerland, and fully owns FileWave (Europe) GmbH of Wil, Switzerland, FileWave (Schweiz) GmbH of Wil, Switzerland and FileWave (USA) Inc. of San Francisco, USA.

FileWave and Asset Trustee were first marketed in 1993, and now they are installed on more than 700,000 Macs worldwide, according to the company. Development work is carried out in both Switzerland and the USA, while training and consulting centers are located in each of these countries.

After a long history, FileWave refreshed these two products, bringing their version numbers up to 8.0 for Asset Trustee and 3.0, for FileWave. While the last one is designed to offer a mature and advanced solution for Software Distribution and Management, Asset Trustee is a cross-platform solution for the collection and management of software and hardware assets across networks.

After these updates, you can take advantage of new features such as multiple administrators, hardware discovery capabilities, concurrent admin logins, as well as first time deployment. The new FileWave Multi Admin feature, present in both programs, is said to increase productivity by facilitating use across multiple locations and networks.

FileWave 3.0 is now capable of automatically installing any application or patch on up to 10,000 Macintosh, Windows or Linux-based servers or workstations, while the new Asset Trustee Discovery feature makes discovery of computers and network devices much easier.

Both applications can be easily used on Intel Macs, since they are available as Universal Binaries for Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, and while pricing can't be found anywhere on the official website, there are free demo versions available for you to try out.
