14 DAY TRIAL // Document security and rights management developer FileOpen Systems has announced the FileOpen Viewer for iPad and iPhone, a document-viewing app that allows business users to deliver secured documents to tablets and smartphones.
Aimed at expanding content reach and leveraging FileOpen’s core document security technology, FileOpen Viewer protects files from unwanted sharing and enforces granular access controls. These include document expiration, offline viewing and watermarking, according to FileOpen Systems.
The solution enables only authorized users to access documents and supports PDF or OPN file formats opened on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Some devices might need registration or authentication, while some admins can impose limits on the number of devices allowed to access the files.
The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
