Via Apple’s own news portal comes word that FileMaker has released three Starter Solutions for FileMaker Go for iPhone and iPad, all available with a free 30-day trial version of FileMaker Pro 11. FileMaker Inc. is a software company formed in 1998 from the vestiges of Claris as a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc.

FileMaker Go is touted as the top-selling business database app for iPhone and iPad.

The solution allows users to search, view, and edit FileMaker Pro databases remotely or locally on an iOS device.

Dubbed Contacts, Documents, and Assets, the three new FileMarker Go solutions for iOS platforms are optimized for iPhone and iPad displays and Multi-Touch gestures.

Contacts allows users to manage all of their business and personal contacts on the iPhone or iPad, as well as quickly add and find multiple contacts within the same company, or city.

Documents works to automatically synchronize any changes to a master database, so that you can take along your business documents wherever you’re heading.

Assets offers an easy way to track all types of assets. Functions include the ability to create asset categories and track serial numbers, calculate depreciation, and value lists and purchase dates.

According to FileMaker, the three starter solutions will run not only on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, but also on Mac OS X and Windows platforms.

iTunes can be used to copy databases from the desktop or laptop computer to an iOS device. To directly open a FileMaker Pro database on your desktop or laptop, you can use wireless or Internet networking, FileMaker says.

“These solutions are designed to be easily customized using FileMaker Pro on a desktop,” the company states. As such, changes to a user’s solutions can easily be copied to their iOS device for further reference.

Available today along with a free 30-day trial version of FileMaker Pro 11, the Starter Solutions can be tried out at this address.

In order to use Starter Solutions, FileMaker Go for iPhone or iPad is required.
