Fight Night Champion won't have support for new control systems like the PlayStation Move, as the title was well into the creation stage when Sony shipped out development kits for the new system.

Fight Night Champion promises to introduce a lot of new features in the long-running boxing simulator series, with the most recent one being detailed last week in the form of the Full Spectrum Punch Control system.

But even if the new system, which will use the thumbsticks to control the arms of boxers, seems very intuitive, many PlayStation 3 owners have been wondering if the game will have support for the PlayStation Move.

Sadly, that won't be possible, as Alain Quinto, community manager at EA Sports, addressed some of the questions of the fans on the PlayStation Blog.

"The game has been in development for a couple of years now before some of the Move and 3D technology was still being finalized," Quinto said. "It was important for the team to ensure they could implement the features that our community wanted most with working tech."

The EA Sports representative did mention that the PlayStation Move and stereoscopic 3D support were "areas the team is investigating for future iterations, however, for FNC they will not be available."

Still, Quinto is convinced that the Full Spectrum Punch Control will make up for the lack of Move support.

"The new scheme works very well and allows for the ability to throw quick combos just as real boxers are able to."

Fight Night Champion is going to have quite a few interesting features for a Fight Night game, including a story-based Champion Mode, which will follow the life of Andre Bishop, rising from the streets and becoming a world champ.

Besides this, the new title will have improved gameplay and an overhauled Legacy Mode, which allows you to create fights between famous boxers like Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson.

Fight Night Champion is set to appear on March 1, in North America, and March 4, in Europe.
