14 DAY TRIAL // Another role in the highly anticipated “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie has been cast, that of Jason Taylor. Max Martini, the handsome actor who starred most recently in “Pacific Rim” and “Captain Phillips,” will play him.
As readers of E.L. James’ original trilogy of novels must already know, Taylor is Christian Grey’s bodyguard and head of security team. In other words, it’s not a major role, but Martini will probably get enough screentime.
Deadline has confirmed the casting.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” will star Jamie Dornan as the charming but deeply troubled millionaire Christian Grey, whose name is used in the title of all 3 books (and will probably be used for each installment of the planned film trilogy).
His love interest slash pupil in the art of lovemaking (if you can call it that in this context), Anastasia Steele, will be played by Dakota Johnson, a model and actress who also happens to be the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.
Sam Taylor-Johnson directs, with a release date set for Valentine’s Day 2015.
