With just one day before the hotly anticipated release of the second trailer, a new poster has been released. A teaser poster, better yet, because it comes across as a character portrait that’s deliberately vague.
Whereas the original artwork showed Christian’s back as he was facing a window in his impressive office, with the caption “Mr. Grey will see you now,” this one, with Anastasia, shows our leading female protagonist in close up but from the nose down. Yes, she’s biting her lip.
From the promo campaign so far, it becomes clear that this film will strive to get readers of the original novels in theaters. If newcomers happen to stumble in, it’s fine, but if not, it’s still fine. This poster with Anastasia biting her lip, a clear reference to the book, confirms that.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as leads: she’s the ingénue who crosses his path by chance, and he’s the ladies expert who “doesn’t do romance” because he’s only into S&M. They start an apparently ill-fated relationship, one that will bring out the best and worst in them, but there’s no telling if they will get a happy ending or not.
The film will be out on Valentine’s Day next year, with a new trailer scheduled to premiere on “Scandal” tomorrow, November 13. Below is the first one, enjoy!
