Canadian mobile users have now a new Nokia handset that they can buy and that is Nokia 3500 Classic. The phone was brought in the North American country by Fido, Rogers' subsidiary, and is available as of now, either online, on Fido's website, or in the carrier's stores across Canada.

The 3500 is the fifth Finnish handset from Fido's line-up, the other ones being Nokia 5200, Nokia 6070, Nokia 6301 and Nokia 6555. As you can see, all the Nokia phones available for Fido's customers are low or mid-end and the new 3500 is no exception.

Nokia 3500 Classic is a simple candybar built in Nokia?s well-known manner of making its candybars. The phone measures 107 x 45 x 13.1 millimeters, weighs 81 grams and packs the following features: tri-band GSM connectivity with EDGE, a 1.8 inch TFT display with 262K colors and 128 x 160 pixels, Music player (supporting MP3, M4A, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+), FM radio, Bluetooth, a 2 Megapixel camera with digital zoom and video recording, WAP 2.0 browser, USB, five pre-installed games (Midnight Pool Demo, BlockBreaker Deluxe Demo, Millionaire 2 Demo, Wheel of Fortune Demo and Sudoku Garden Demo), 8MB of embedded memory and microSD card support for up to 2GB. The handset's battery is an 860 mAh one that should be capable of offering a talk-time of up to 4 hours and a stand-by time of up to 8 days.

The prices of Nokia 3500 vary a lot. For example, with a contract agreement for three years, the candybar costs only $15. With a contract for two years, users will pay $90, while without any contract or with Fido's Prepaid Service, the 3500 can be acquired for $100. Regardless of what pricing option you choose, Fido is also offering a stereo headset, besides the handset itself, its battery and its travel charger.
