Fez, the quirky puzzle platformer that’s been in development for quite some time, is now closer to release, as PEGI, the video game ratings body responsible for European territories, has just passed a rating for the downloadable game.

Fez was originally scheduled to appear way back in 2010, but was then pushed back to this year and, as we heard recently, has once again been delayed into 2012.

Now, thanks to XBLAfans, it finally seems that the puzzle game will be released in the near future, as PEGI has just passed a rating for it, ahead of its release on the Xbox Live Arcade.

We still have no word when it might finally be released on the online service, but expect to hear some more details in the New Year.

Until then, you can check out a brand new dynamic screenshot of the game in the video above.
