The game will explore the mythology of the universe

Phil Fish, the developer of the puzzle platformer Fez, says that he wants his second game in the series to explore the mythology of the world he has created.

It also seems that he is no longer interested in working with Microsoft for the sequel, despite the fact that the original was initially only offered on the Xbox 360 for about one year before coming to Windows.

The developer tells Polygon that, “It's not a case of wanting to recycle ideas we didn't get to put in FEZ I. Since the games are going to be so different, there's not a whole lot that could just carry over.”

Rich Vreeland is working on the music of Fez 2.

The game was revealed during E3 2013, but the team working on it is yet unwilling to currently talk about a potential launch window.
