14 DAY TRIAL // According to a recently concluded survey, iPhone 4 users on Verizon Wireless' network are a little more satisfied with their devices than AT&T's iPhone 4 customers, while also enjoying less dropped calls on their wireless carrier's network.
The new survey was conducted by the guys over at ChangeWave on a number of 4,068 consumers, and was aimed at comparing the overall user satisfaction of Verizon and AT&T customers who are owners of an Apple iPhone 4 smartphone.
“The ChangeWave survey, completed March 28th, was conducted several weeks after Verizon began offering the iPhone 4. Among other things, the results provide insight into how owners believe the AT&T and Verizon iPhones stack up against each other in a couple of key areas,” the company notes.
When it comes to the overall owner satisfaction, 82 percent of Verizon's iPhone 4 users said they are very satisfied with their devices, compared to 80 percent of AT&T iPhone 4 customers.
The difference is almost indistinguishable, but the same does not apply when it comes to iPhone 4 Dropped Call Rates – Verizon vs. AT&T.
It should be noted that, a ranking of the wireless carrier with the most dropped calls over the past 90 days places AT&T on the first position in front of all other large carriers in the United States, with 4.6 percent, while putting Verizon on the last place with only 1.4 percent.
According to the results, only 1.8 percent of Verizon iPhone 4 owners were impacted by dropped calls, while the percentage goes up to 4.8 when it comes to AT&T iPhone 4 owners.
The percentage of mobile phone users interested in the purchase of a new device from Verizon is clearly favorable for the carrier when compared to the number of customers who would opt for AT&T, namely 46 percent for the former, and only 27 for the latter.
“We note, however, that Verizon is still in the early stages of its iPhone 4 offering to consumers. It remains to be seen how well the Verizon network performs as the number of Verizon iPhone 4 owners ramps up and inevitably puts more pressure on their system,” ChangeWave also stated.
