This past Saturday, a woman by the name Jennifer McCarthy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after holding a gun to her boyfriend's head. The incident occurred in New Mexico, US.

This piece of news might not have made headlines if it were not for some really odd details concerning the circumstances that led to the woman's being taken into police custody.

Word has it that Jennifer McCarthy pulled a gun on her current boyfriend after the two got into an argument about aliens, Daily Mail reports.

For the time being, it is still unclear what exactly the two lovers were fighting over.

It is possible that they were either trying to decide if aliens are real, or maybe they were just having doubts about how many limbs and/or heads the creatures sport.

As surprising as this may sound, what makes the news stand out is not the fact that the woman threatened to kill her boyfriend because the latter did not share her thoughts on the topic of space aliens.

Thus, it appears that the weapon Jennifer McCarthy pointed at her lover's head did not come from a holster, but from the woman's lady parts.

The boyfriend, who has asked to remain anonymous, says that, after the two of them had the fight, Jennifer left the couple's home for a while. When she returned, the woman dressed in lingerie and also placed the gun in said body cavity.

When coming face to face with her lover, she asked “Who is crazy, you or me?,” took the gun out and pointed it at his head. The boyfriend managed to disarm her.

At first, he hid the gun in the bathroom. Shortly after, he reconsidered – chiefly because Jennifer was trying to get her hands back on it – and hid it in a trash can outside their home.

Jennifer McCarthy was arrested by a police officer who was sent to the area to investigate a disturbance report. She was released from jail on $5,000 (€3,675) bail on Sunday, and maintains that she never threatened to kill her lover.
