Jean Todt wants Renault to stop launching accuses over FIA and Ferrari

This weekend did not only give us a certainty as far as Schumacher's future in racing is concerned, but also a little bit of scandal inside Formula One. The 7-time world champion was practically handed the win at Monza, after Alonso was given a 5-place penalty on the starting grid. FIA gave a very simple reason for that: during the qualifying round, Alonso slowed down and stopped Massa from obtaining a faster lap.

After the race - Alonso managed
to gain the 3rd place in the race before his engine blew up - the Renault boss, Flavio Briattore, launched serious accusations on Ferrari and FIA. "Calciopoli is nothing when you see what happens in Formula One", said Briattore, referring to the Italian football scandal that shattered the world this summer.

Alonso also told the media that: "We have been seeing very, very strange decisions in the last month and I think it is enough. I was both disappointed and disgusted for what happened this weekend. From this day on, I have no more respect for FIA".

Jean Todt waited for one more day to defend his team and the F1 officials against those accusations. The Ferrari sporting director fumed over these allegations, saying that Renault should quit the game if not pleased with the competition.

"It's so unfair to make these kinds of comment. If some people are tired of being in this business, it's a choice. You don't have to be in the business if you aren't happy to do it. There have been lots of times I have been unhappy, not sharing some decisions".

"But we have always said we do accept it because as long as you are in this business, you must accept you have a governing body, you have people judging, you have stewards and you have that in all sports", said the Frenchman.
