We have seen a number of leaked reports on the Internet that talk about NVIDIA's much anticipated GF100 Fermi-based graphics cards, due out two weeks from today. Unfortunately, despite the recently ended CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, pictures of the card have been scarce, mainly because of NVIDIA's efforts to keep curios journalists away from taking pictures of the card. The final design of the card should already be finished, but NVIDIA is keen on keeping everything a secret, until the formal release of the card. However, things don't always go according to plan and some journalists could get lucky enough to nab a couple of pictures of the card.

Sylvie Barak from the Techeye is covering the on-going GDC (Game Developers Conference) event in San Francisco, where the Santa Clara, California-based outfit is also present. Apparently, NVIDIA didn't forget to bring along its Fermi-based graphics cards, which are most likely used to show off their gaming capabilities. On that note, the said reporter managed to grab a couple of pictures with the now famous GTX 480, which will become NVIDIA's new flagship card, once the new 400-series will be unveiled.

The pictures reveal what has been speculated for a while now, namely that this new card will be featured with a dual-slot cooling solution and that will be powered by two 8-pin and a 6-pin power connectors. Aside from that, we also notice that the card will be featured with an illuminated GeForce logo, which is designed to increase the cool factor of NVIDIA's new pride and joy. Support for SLI is also available, but aside from that, there's little else we can confirm from the available pictures. We could speculate on the card's dimensions and say that it's shorter than the HD 5870, but that's difficult to prove.

We are expecting NVIDIA to officially announce the card later this month, but there's a good chance that, by that time, we will know more on the card's specifications and performance capabilities.
