They’re too emotional, moody and often forget to leave their personal life at the door of the office: female bosses are a nightmare to work for and two thirds of women also believe it.

Studies of this type have been done before – and with the same results. Both men and women would rather they worked under a man because he’s more capable of being correct, objective and straight to the point.

While it’s somewhat understandable for a man not to want to work for a woman, it seems that even the ladies feel the same where their superior is concerned, as a new poll conduced among 3,000 people and cited by the Daily Mail reveals.

Two thirds of the women queried would rather they worked for a man than for a woman because the latter never seems to be able to get to the point of a discussion, while also constantly being preoccupied by what goes on in their personal life.

Female employees also believe that women bosses are more likely to backstab and sabotage them, while male bosses will probably be more appreciative of their efforts at the workplace.

“Incredibly both men and women are in total agreement that men make better bosses – 63 per cent of women and 75 per cent of men. This indicates that while women are more than capable of progressing to a management role, some lack some of the key skills required to be a good boss,” a spokesperson for UKJobs, which commissioned the survey says.

“No one is suggesting that women aren’t intelligent enough to be in senior positions, far from it, but perhaps-some need to be more approachable and less competitive,” the same rep adds.

That is to say, while women have all the right qualities required to be in a position of more power and responsibility, they don’t know how to put them to the best of use – which is what makes them not so popular bosses.

“People want to go to work knowing they will be given a fair chance and are supported 100 per cent by those they work with and for,” says the same spokesperson.

Were one to mention a few reasons why men are better (or more beloved) bosses, one should include the following qualities: they’re straight-talking, less likely to be involved in office politics, easier to reason with, have no mood swings and not “time of the month,” and are overall more reasonable.
