Felipe Massa Is Not Enthusiastic About Ferrari Rise

Unlike his much more experienced teammate Michael Schumacher, the second Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, is finding it very hard to believe that his team could keep on the good work. After their first 1-2 of the season, Ferrari is believed - by many of the motorsport specialists - to have a great chance of helping Michael Schumacher to reach the leading position in Formula One.

Well, the extraordinary Indianapolis performance has left Felipe Massa more pessimistic than enthusiastic.
The Italian driver was obviously happy with the Ferrari performance in the United States, but thinks that they will not be able to keep the pace with Renault in Europe. The Magny Cours and Jerez races are going to show everybody if he was right or wrong.

"I expect the competition to get harder for us again and that we will not look so dominant. In Indianapolis, the other tyre company I am sure adopted a more conservative approach than usual in terms of the performance of its tyres, after events last year", said the Italian driver.

His situation with the Italian manufacturer is not a very comforting one either. The team is yet to confirm both drivers for the next season, since Michael Schumacher did not give his bosses a final answer concerning his retirement from racing. The German is still not decided on his future, making it impossible for Ferrari to make the right choices for the next season.

Kimi Raikkonen seems to be the best solution for Michael Schumacher. Still, if the German driver decides to stay, Felipe Massa will really have to give it his best until the end of the season if he wants to race for Ferrari. The first chance comes only 6 days from now, in France.
