15-year-old Felicia Garcia, from Staten Island, in the US, jumped in front of a train on Wednesday afternoon, after suffering from depression brought on by bullying.

The incident happened at Huguenot Staten Island Railway station, in Staten Island. Terrified classmates watched as she placed her bag on the platform, after finding out the train was coming. The girl's last words were “Finally, it's here.”

The Daily Dot reports that right before jumping, she left a single, haunting tweet. “I cant, im done, I give up,” she said.

Felicia had been a victim of bullying at school, which extended to her online persona. She was targeted by the Tottenville High School football team, who were spreading rumors about her having had relations with four boys on the team.

“She got bullied in the school, especially by the football players, because she looked different and had piercings,” one senior clarified.

“[Felicia] had a terrible life on top of all the heartache — bullies at school taunted her and spread rumors. I hope all bullies get punished,” a witness to the suicide said.
