Fedora Utils, a tool allowing users to install codecs and additional software, fix problems, tweak and clean up the operating system, view system information, and much more with just a few clicks, has been renamed to Fedy and a new version has been released.

According to the developers, Fedora Utils has been renamed to Fedy. Due to legal issues, it cannot contain “Fedora” in the name.

Also, some problems with adding the repo have been fixed, a missing symlink for LightTable has been fixed, the latest version of Skype is now provided, and a new icon has been implemented.

The installation is pretty straightforward and can be done through a terminal. Just enter the following command:

su -c "curl http://satya164.github.io/fedy/fedy-installer -o fedy-installer && chmod +x fedy-installer && ./fedy-installer"

A backlog of updates and new features can be found in the official announcement. Download Fedy 3.1.7 right now from Softpedia.
