Fedora Project team has released today via bittorrent the first (Test 1) of 3 testing releases of Fedora Core 6. Notable features of this testing release are:

- Support for the Intel-based Macintosh platform; - Ipv6 support in the installer; - Scim-bridge for improved i18n input; - Puplet applet for update notifications; - New printing system; - GNOME 2.15; - KDE 3.5.3; - 1600+ Extras packages conveniently available via yum.

The initial date of this release was officially stated as 14 June, but as we already know, the Fedora Project delays this dates. Fedora Core 6 is expected to be available around November 2006.
