A new delay is preventing The Fedora Project to release the new operating system

The Fedora Project has announced that the final version of Fedora 20 “Heisenbug” Linux distribution has been postponed by a week.

The delay of the final build of Fedora 20 is a surprise, as the distribution was good as done and a Release Candidate was expected.

“Today at Go/No-Go meeting it was decided to slip Fedora 20 Final release by one week due to unresolved blocker bugs not being fixed and no RC available by the time of the meeting. The new GA date is now Dec 17,” said Red Hat's Jaroslav Reznik.

The lack of an RC before the final version is available for download is a problem, especially if there is a bug that hinders the release.

In the meantime, you can download Fedora 20 Beta right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
