The first Beta version of Fedora 19 "Schrödinger's Cat" operating system has been officially launched and it's ready for testing.

Unlike former Fedora releases that have been plagued by delays and various problems, the new 19 branch has arrived relatively on time and it's ready to be tested and properly dissected.

Highlights of Fedora 19 Beta:

• 3D modelling and printing tools have been implemented; • OpenShift Origin has been added; • Popular Javascript-based platform node.js has been included; • Ruby 2.0.0 has been added; • MariaDB is now the default implementation of MySQL; • GNOME has been updated to version 3.8; • KDE Plasma Workspaces has been updated to version 4.10; • MATE has been updated to version 1.6.
