Fedora 19 Alpha KDE "Schrödinger's Cat" has been made available for download and testing, along with the GNOME and Xfce versions.Fedora 19 is based on KDE Plasma Workspaces 4.10, as it was expected. The developers will need to do a lot of work because the KDE desktop environment has a very poor performance on Fedora 19, even if it's just an Alpha.
“A modern, stable desktop environment, KDE Plasma Workspaces 4.10 includes new features for printing and screenlocking, better indexing of files, and improved accessibility features,” reads the official announcement.
We have prepared a small screenshot tour in order to better illustrate how KDE fairs in combination with Fedora. Juts check out the gallery below.
You can download Fedora 19 Alpha from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
