The developers have managed to tie up all loose ends

Fedora 18 (Spherical Cow) is finally ready to ship after numerous delays and it will be available for download on January 15.

Fedora has taught its users to expect the worse, but it seems that for once, the developers have managed to overcome the problems and finally ship the product.

“At the Fedora 18 Go/No-Go Meeting that just occurred, it was agreed to Go for the Fedora 18. The release is planned for Tuesday, January 15, 2013 It was agreed that RC3 is GOLD for now, with possibility to raise the status of RC4 to be the final release based on outcome of supplemental testing,” stated the official announcement.

Until then, you can download Fedora 18 Beta right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
