Zune HD is right on track to become generally available tomorrow, September 15th, 2009, and here is your chance to get an insight on what the fourth generation Microsoft digital media player devices will bring to the table. In the videos embedded at the bottom of the article, various features of Zune HD are being advertised, giving consumers a taste of Zune HD. The videos featuring the backbone capabilities and features of the Zune 4.0 lineup of products and associated services were first published by Buy TV over the weekend, and while no longer live on the original website, continue to be available from various sources on the web such as Neowin.

Zune HD is already available for pre-order, but come September 15th, the device will hit the shelves in the US. Concomitantly with the general availability of the Zune HD, Microsoft will release the Zune 4.0 software update, and as was the case in the past, will also upgrade the services built around the device, including the Zune Marketplace.

The videos embedded below will offer a general perspective over Zune HD. At the same time, Microsoft has taken the time to single out various features and accessories designed to set the new digital media devices apart from rival products from Apple. The presentations focus on the AV Dock, the Premium Car Pack, HD Radio technology, HD Video, Zune HD and Xbox integration and Zune Pass.

Zune HD features a 16:9 OLED screen touch screen tailored to the natural user interface (NUI), but also built-in HD Radio receiver, HD video output, Wi-Fi capabilities. Because it is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra ultralow-power HD processor, speculation indicated that the device is also aimed at gamers. One of the videos also features a demonstration of gaming content running on the Zune HD. Microsoft revealed that the estimated retail price for Zune HD 16GB would be $219.99, while the Zune HD 32GB would cost $289.99.
