14 DAY TRIAL // If pictures and ongoing reports are any indication, Lindsay Lohan is struggling with addiction again and is in such a poor shape that her close friends fear she might be dying. Michael Lohan, her estranged father, shares the same belief, having long promised to do anything in his power to prove she needs rehab. The first step to getting her to wake up to reality consists of Mr. Lohan taking police officers to Lindsay’s apartment, TMZ writes.
Having heard from the media that his younger daughter, Ali (16), was living with Lindsay and concerned that she might fall under bad influence what with Lindsay’s almost non-stop partying, Michael decided to take action, since the girls’ mother, Dina, is not to be bothered. So he called the cops and said that he was worried about the state of his two daughters – and they broke into the apartment when Lindsay was not there.
“TMZ has learned the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department just showed up at Lindsay Lohan’s apartment accompanied by Michael Lohan to check on Lindsay’s sister’s welfare. Sources tell TMZ Michael went to the Sheriff’s Department and said 16-year-old Ali Lohan was staying with Lindsay and he was concerned for her safety. […] Michael, we’re told, convinced deputies to go to Lindsay’s pad to do a ‘welfare check’ on Ali,” TMZ says.
The reaction to this unexpected visit got both Lindsay and her mother upset, the same media outlet goes on to say. Dina is so enraged that she’s seriously thinking having Lindsay get a restraining against her father but chances of that happening are slim, since he seemed to have legitimate reasons. Lindsay, on the other hand, is raving mad, taking to her Twitter to vent all frustration and thus reveal to the world the reasons Michael cited for the police visit, as TMZ informs in a later post.
“Hahaha also, just an fyi, i sleep in a bed, it’s a comforpedic & it’s fantastical!! so that is ah-really ah-rude to say i have no furniture. My friend doesn’t drive 100mph!! my dad is the one who drove into a telephone pole!!!! hello! I’m not up ALL NIGHT!!! stop lying! The police had NO probable cause breaking and entering into my home which is the only place i find privacy... this is MY personal space,” Lindsay tweeted.
