Against her wishes, reports say

Circus Starring Britney Spears might not be the best instance of vocal accomplishment the industry has witnessed, but it is a highly successful tour that sits just wonderfully with fans all over the world, it is being said. However, it might not be what Britney wants right now, since it’s against her wishes that she’s taking the Circus to Europe, an MSNBC report has it.

Reports are coming in saying that, as far as mental health goes, Britney is still not fully recuperated after her very public breakdown a while back, therefore does not really want to take Circus to Europe. She would rather, unnamed spies are whispering, she stayed at home with her two kids and concentrated on her personal life than have to perform so often for sell-out crowds and have to deal with that much pressure. Her father and conservator Jamie Spears is the one who gets to call the shots on everything, reports claim.

“It’s a freak show right now. [Britney’s] phoning every song in. It’s pretty obvious she is not happy to be here.” MSNBC writes, citing an insider for Ted Casablanca of the Awful Truth. Happy or not, she has to go on with the show – and even with her father’s plans of adding even more dates to the European leg of the tour. From what the insiders are saying, Britney doesn’t really have a choice, or a say in the matter, because Jamie is the one with all the power and, should he want to, he could make things very difficult for his daughter.

“Jamie can’t physically force Britney to get on stage and do more concerts, but he does have nearly all the power. He controls the purse strings and can make things very difficult for Britney if he chooses to. He gets to dictate her schedule – where she goes, who she sees, who she doesn’t see. He’s in charge of everything to do with her life. It’s a battle of wills over who will win – but while her dad remains in charge, he’ll be laying down the law.” a family friend explains.

Britney Spears is currently performing at several venues in London as part of the Circus tour. Rumor that more dates in other countries will be added as well first emerged a couple of days ago but, as of now, nothing in this sense has been made official. Keep an eye on this space for updates.
