Fate of the Dragon

Romance of the Three Kingdoms written by Lu¨® Gu¨¤nzh¨­ng in the 14th century is a Chinese historical novel based upon events in the turbulent years near the end of the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period (220¨C280). This was the source of inspiration for Japanese game developer Koei in the early ¡®90s. As RTS games industry developed rapidly and captivating titles such as Age of Empires came up on the market, this historical source of inspiration lay adorned for more than 10 years before developer Overmax decided to invite the player to get back in time to the year 189 AD ancient China to relive the turbulent battles.

After the collapse of the Eastern Han Dynasty, China is divided into Three Kingdoms. You are to take on the role of one of the three warlords (Liu Bei of Shu, Cao Cao of Wei or Sun Quan of Wu) and build up your regime with the ultimate goal of taking control of the Three Kingdoms and reunifying China. You¡¯ll have to develop new technologies and create mighty armies to conquer the lands of the other warlords.
