Although the ASRock-built Intel P67 Fatal1ty motherboard has been out in the open for a while now, ASRock and Auravision, licensor for the Fatal1ty brand, have just announced their new partnership that is supposed to deliver a wide range of motherboards specifically designed for PC gaming enthusiasts.

The first one of these will be called the Fatal1ty P67 Professional and will be based on Intel's upcoming P67 chipset, ASRock saying it will hit the market in January for an estimated retail price of $250.

This new board will make use of a 16-phase power delivery circuit, three PCIe 2.0 x16 slots, that support CrossFireX and 3-way SLI, a UEFI BIOS as well as six SATA 6Gbps and six USB 3.0 ports.

Further more, the motherboard will feature a black and red design as well as a cooling setup which resembles a great deal that of some Asus ROG mobos.

“We wanted to wait a little longer for this exciting news,” said Fatal1ty, “but word was starting to leak out so we’re making this announcement earlier than planned.

I’ve been searching long and hard for a mobo maker who shared my passion for top performance and had the ability and desire to build performance gaming motherboards.

Once I met the guys at ASRock, I knew I had found the right partner - their engineers get gaming and their skill level is stellar!” concluded the professional gamer.

Unfortunately, ASRock has not made any details available about other upcoming products that will feature the Fatal1ty brand name.

However, considering that only a P67 motherboard was announced, it is highly probable the Taiwanese company is working on other designs with Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, a micro-ATX and/or mini-ITX sized board being pretty much a given considering the popularity enjoyed by these form factors among gamers.
