With not that much to go until April 3, when the fourth film in the “Fast & Furious” series is out, Universal has just released the official and final poster for it. Surprisingly enough, movie-oriented publications are saying, the studio could have done better if it really wanted fans to crowd movie theaters and to build up hype for it.

While the first release in the franchise was a major hit with the public, the following two failed to rise to the expectations of the fans. Nevertheless, they kept hoping for yet another flick that would bring the original cast back together and, after many months of speculation and wishful-thinking, it has finally happened. Whether the result will be the one they were hoping for, we will learn come April 3.

The final poster for “Fast & Furious” plays precisely on the reunion of the original cast. Although labeled as “dull” and “uninspired,” “the poster of floating heads,” as it’s been called in the media, does manage to get fans excited about the prospect of seeing the old gang back together, putting their differences aside to fight a common enemy. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez are all back, and featured on the new poster.

However, Universal could have done better than this, as the guys from Collider say. The poster is not only dull, but also completely lacking originality, a thing most fans did not expect from this much-hyped sequel. “None of them looks too fast (with the possible exception of the car) and only Walker looks suitably furious,” Collider reveals as means of a suitable description for the poster. Other specialized publications have just limited themselves to calling it “the poster of floating heads,” as already noted above.

“Fast & Furious” will make no reference to the two movies that separate the fourth film from the first effort. It will, however, team Dominic Torretto again with agent Brian O’Conner in a common endeavor, “two men [who] will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.” Below, you will find the official trailer for “Fast & Furious,” in case the poster got you interested.
