Paul Walker’s death in a fiery explosion last weekend has left Universal Pictures in a huge dilemma as concerns plans for the seventh installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, in which he played lead. According to director James Wan, the movie will go on eventually.

Paparazzi from TMZ caught up with Wan at the airport and, though he was clearly in no mood to chat with them, they asked him if he thought “Fast & Furious 7” would be released. As you can see in the video below, his answer was “Yes.”

He also said that everyone in the production was “very sad and somber” but “dealing with it.” As for his “yes,” it could mean one of two things: Wan was just trying to get rid of the paparazzi and didn’t really mean it, or they’re really thinking of ways to make the movie happen without Walker.

At the time of the actor’s death, production was halfway but he was still to shoot essential scenes, according to reports. This would mean that, if Universal decides to continue with the franchise, it will probably have to write off Walker’s character, one way or another.
