They initially promised to launch quite a few titles

If a developer decides to halt support for its Windows Phone app or pull it from the Store for lack of resources, most people would say that there are plenty of other apps that could replace it, so it's not a big deal.

Some would even say that the app isn't that useful and popular to matter whether the creators are still offering support for it. Unfortunately, we don't hear about Android or iOS apps getting the same treatment.

We reported last week that the developer of a weather application for Windows Phone has decided to pull it from Windows Phone Store because he couldn't pay the fees of its weather provider anymore.

Today, it looks like another developer has decided to stop making Windows Phone apps and concentrate on other mobile platforms.

Kabam, makers of Fast & Furious 6: The Game, has just announced it will not launch other games on Windows Phone platform, a new report confirms.

No more games coming to Windows Phone from Kabam

Developers promised last year that they planned to release several games on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone, including Fast & Furious 6: The Game, Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon, and The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth.

However, only one title of the three was released in Windows Phone Store several months ago, and since Kabam announced it would stop developing for this platform, the rest will never be launched.

According to a Kabam official, the company “is now concentrating development on AAA quality games for Apple and Android mobile devices and has decided not pursue development for Windows Phones. Kabam is concentrating its resources on the biggest market opportunity, which is Apple and Android devices worldwide.”

Is there a chance that Kabam might reconsider its decision after Windows 10 for Phones gets released later this summer? We don't know that, but we do know that Windows Phone needs more apps, not more developers to pull their products from the store or abandon development for this platform.
