Just recently, fashion brand Publish decided to go in the business of making clothes from fabric scraps, supposedly in order to prove that recycling is very much possible in the textile industry.

Thus, their “Second Chance” projects aims at putting pieces of cloth which would otherwise get thrown away or burnt in the incinerator to better use, meaning that the new men collection – now available online – can be regarded as both fashionable, and environmentally-friendly.

As explained on the company's official website, “Every year, millions of pounds of post-industrial textile waste are disposed of in landfills. Publish hopes to bring awareness to an industry that has not been concerned with the process as much as the results.”

For the time being, the T-shirts, tank tops, pants, and shorts made available as part of this campaign can be bought for about $30-$50, although, truth be told, some of the clothing items on sale look rather peculiar.

Still, wearing a funny-looking shirt seems to us like a small price to pay when it comes to environmental protection and taking better care of the natural world.
