Actress Farrah Fawcett has been battling cancer for three years, with things taking a turn for the worse in recent days, following a visit to Germany for experimental stem-cell treatment. Rushed to the hospital almost dead, the 62-year-old star is now said to be in critical, but stable condition, as Radar Online can confirm. However, it is not known whether she will survive this.

Fawcett was last pictured at LAX as she arrived from Frankfurt following the treatment. Although looking pale and weak, she seemed in good enough health and spirits to wave at the cameras as she was wheeled through the airport. Nevertheless, it seems that her health took into a different direction shortly afterwards, as sources tell Radar that she was rushed to the hospital in the Los Angeles area almost dead.

“Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized and is in bad shape, sources close to family and friends tell Radar Online. Sources told Radar Online that she is critical but stable in a Los Angeles-area hospital. They also say she is unconscious and has been hospitalized for days. Long-time love Ryan O’Neal has been by Farrah’s bedside, as has troubled son Redmond, who bolted from rehab earlier this week.” Radar informs.

In 2006, the “Charlie’s Angels” star was diagnosed with anal cancer. On her 60th birthday, following chemotherapy, the actress announced that she was officially cancer-free. However, in May 2007, doctors found a polyp precisely in the place where the cancer first appeared – since then, Farrah Fawcett has been undergoing stem-cell treatment in Germany, since it is not available in the US. Her long battle with cancer has been taped for a reality show that will help others in similar situations cope with the disease.

Regarding the report about Fawcett’s hospitalization, a spokesperson for the actress was not immediately available for comment when it surfaced. However, for more on this, keep an eye on this space.
