One Irish farmer dared tell Rihanna what some of her most bitter critics also think about her fashion choices, and he’s now suffering the consequences for it. Alan Graham has become the target of hate mail from fans.

As we also noted a while back, Graham agreed to let a crew on his grain field in Northern Ireland to shoot a music video. He didn’t know and didn’t care who the artist was.

As it turned out, the video was for Rihanna’s latest single, “We Found Love,” and it was meant to include shots of her running shirtless in the field.

One day, as he was going to fetch his tractor, 61-year-old Graham saw what was going on the music set and, deeming it too “inappropriate” for his taste, he called Rihanna to him and told her she was to vacate the premises as soon as possible.

Since then, he’s been getting a lot of hate mail from fans, who consider him a “bible bashing maniac,” he says in an interview cited by NME.

Either way, he remains unfazed.

“I’m taking it all in my stride, it’ll soon die down. To be honest, all this fuss has kept me back a bit. I’ve got straw to harvest that I haven’t been able to finish yet,” Mr. Graham says.

He also reveals he’s been getting some of the oddest offers from other RiRi fans, like selling the ears of corn that she touched while she was in the field, an offer that he clearly had no intention of honoring.

“I don’t think I’ll be doing that, but maybe I’ll name a type of grain after her,” the farmer says.

It certainly seems that he wasn’t lying when he said, the first time around, that he had nothing against the popstar or the way she dressed (or didn’t, depending on the case): he just didn’t agree with it and saw fit to tell her that since it was his land she was on.
