Well-known mobile games developer and publisher King has just announced that it will launch a new Facebook game on iOS and Android platforms early next year.

According to King, the Facebook smash hit Farm Heroes Saga will be ported to both mobile operating systems in 2014 and will offer players the option to synchronize it with their Facebook accounts.

Android users hooked on King’s Candy Crush Saga should expect the same level of addiction to come their way once Farm Heroes Saga gets released.

Although developers have yet to confirm it, we suspect that Farm Heroes Saga will be offered for free, but it will feature in-app purchase options, so those who wish to advance faster into the game can do so.

For those unfamiliar with Farm Heroes Saga, this is an arcade puzzle game that “tasks wannabe agricultural heroes with putting an abrupt end to ‘Rancid the Raccoon’s’ evil attempts to spoil the peaceful eco-system of the farm.”

King has also stated that there will be 100 challenging levels available on mobile at launch, in which players will be able to achieve top scores by successfully switching and matching the various selections of ‘Cropsie’ characters in rows of three or more, within the specified move limits.

As mentioned earlier, Farm Heroes Saga for Android will synchronize with Facebook, so players will be able to unlock new levels and access leaderboards while on the move, without losing their progress in the game.

“Farm Heroes Saga’s fun, snackable nature has rightfully made it one of our most successful Facebook titles to date. The Farm Heroes community on Facebook has been extremely vocal in its desire for the mobile release, so we’re both proud and excited to finally be able to bring the game to mobile devices and build on our continued efforts to launch our titles cross-platforms,” says Tommy Palm, games guru at King.
