No time to explain, kill everything that has wings

Far Cry 4 is probably the best in the series and you might think that Ubisoft has it down to science. That would be correct for the most part, but they do have a problem with the goddamn eagles. I mean, enough is enough.

So, I finally got to play Far Cry 4 and I was pretty happy that they didn't change a lot about it. It's basically the same game as Far Cry 3 with a different story, more untraversable areas (being so close to the Himalaya mountains), better graphics, and refined gameplay. So, where do the eagles come into play, you might ask. Well, the closest analogy would be rats. You can't see them, but you know they are everywhere.

One of Far Cry's goals is to provide a complete ecosystem for the players, or at least to create the illusion of one. It works, for the most part, even if there are a few too many animals around, but we'll get to that in a minute.

So, I arrive in the Far Cry world, I'm introduced to the story, and I meet the main villain, Pagan Min. He's some kind of a crossover between a dictator and warlord who thinks he also has a taste in fashion. Anyway, I escape and I reach the camp of a group called the Golden Path, which is trying to liberate the country. So, a clear mission and a clear path is laying ahead of me. Or so I thought.

The main enemy in this game is not Pagan Min, but the eagles. They try to kill me much more than any of the other soldiers and they even succeeded a couple of times. They also killed a few guys I just saved from the soldier's hands, and I think they might be stalking me.

The are no eagles at 6000 meters

One of the story missions took me to the Himalayas, in a different part of the map. I understand that Ubisoft wanted to make the world look alive, but in a small area that has nothing to do with the main level I killed four wolves, three snow leopards, and a bear. Just as I was arriving at the last checkpoint, in a very high place, I get attacked by two eagles. I forgot to patch myself up and they killed me. After finishing the mission, I added the two eagles to my count.

I'm maybe 20% in the game until now and I've already killed dozens. I've developed a habit of looking up all the time and I kill anything that flies. It's a wonder that people managed to stay alive in this region, with these predatory birds that have killed at least three people in my six hours into the game.

I'm in a very weird situation where I don't fear anything else in Far Cry 4, with the exception of eagles. Ubisoft needs to patch this out and fast. Make the damn birds are less interested in humans and let me get to Pagan Min. By the time I get to the end, he'll probably ask me to kill him, just like in the Aliens movie, just he can finally get some peace from the eagles.

He's pure evil! Why won't you die?
