Ubisoft has made some very interesting reveals regarding the sales performance of the latest entries in some of its biggest video game franchises.

In spite of the fact the The Crew and Assassin's Creed Unity didn't get the great launches Ubisoft had hoped for, the company is sitting pretty well.

In its latest earnings report, Ubisoft reveals that Far Cry 4 sold over 7 million copies worldwide, with Assassin's Creed: Rogue and Assassin's Creed Unity managing to sell a combined 10 million units.

The company's report for last year mentions that Far Cry 3 sold much better than anticipated, with only 4.5 million copies registered in the same period, showing the surge in popularity that the franchise got over the past year.

The Assassin's Creed franchise isn't enjoying a similar performance, as last year's report places Assassin's Creed 3 at 12 million sales over the same period.

The Crew, the company's multiplayer racing game, heavy on social features and competition, sold 2 million units to retailers, which the company estimates (taking into account NPD and GFK figures) places its game at the top of the best-selling list of late 2014 racers.

Other properties and overall performance

Further figures revealed by the company point to Watch Dogs enjoying a continued success, in spite of all the criticism it got, with a total of 10 million units sold since its release back in May 2014.

Just Dance is also among Ubisoft's top performers, with 4 million units sold. The latest entry in the series was released in October 2014, on all major consoles, including the Nintendo Wii.

All in all, the report paints a very favorable picture for the publisher, revealing a 56 percent increase in sales compared with the third quarter of the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

Furthermore, the company states that its sales for the first nine months of the current fiscal year noticed a 59 percent increase year-on-year, and that its third quarter performance was higher than its projected target.
