Far Cry 4 Creative Director Alex Hutchinson has shared some more details about the new first-person shooter, confirming its performance on the PS4, its average length, and what other info should appear soon enough.

Far Cry 4 launches next month and quite a lot of different details have already been released by developer Ubisoft about its actual mechanics, its story, or the many ways players can have fun in the huge open world of the upcoming shooter.

However, there are still plenty of unknown things about the new game, so Creative Director Alex Hutchinson has started answering questions from fans on his Twitter page, revealing plenty of useful info, while promising that more details are set to debut soon enough.

Far Cry 4 runs at 1080p and 30fps on PS4

First up, considering all the recent controversies surrounding Ubisoft Montreal's other big project – Assassin's Creed Unity – Hutchinson has started talking about the performance of Far Cry 4.

The director confirms only that Far Cry 4 runs at 1080p and 30fps on the PS4 platform, declining to share anything about the performance of the new shooter on the Xbox One console.

Hutchinson also says that, while the map in Far Cry 4 is much more dense than the one in the previous Far Cry 3, it doesn't affect the framerate.

"1080p and 30FPS," the developer says about the game's performance on PS4. "Far Cry 4 is much denser, but either way size of map has nothing to do with frame rate."

Far Cry 4 lasts around 35 hours to complete

The developer has also tackled another question about the size of the actual game, confirming that it should take around 35 hours for the average player to complete its campaign. Bear in mind that optional content such as side missions or challenges should provide even more hours of fun in the new shooter.

"Hard to say," Hutchinson replies when asked about the length of Far Cry 4. "Depends if you aim to complete all the side content. Probably 35 hours on average for everything. It's big."

Last but not least, the developer also says that Ubisoft should confirm a few more details about Far Cry 4, such as its multiplayer mode and the PC system requirements "soon," meaning fans should keep an eye out for official announcements in the following weeks.

Far Cry 4 launches on November 18 worldwide for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.
